Similar to the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, the Kate Sommerville EradiKate Acne Treatment, promises to “help eliminate the need to cover-up blemishes and prevent future breakouts” but does it work?
Kate’s bestselling EradiKate™ Acne Treatment is specifically formulated with the highest level of sulphur allowed to effectively heal blemishes, reduce acne, and help keep skin free of new breakouts.
“Do you have a pimple you can feel but can’t see? Use EradiKate on the area immediately to help prevent it from surfacing.”—Kate Somerville, Founder”
APPLICATION OF THE ERADIKATE ACNE TREATMENT
Using a Q-tip, dip it into the pink spot treatment and spot-treat any offending pimples that you have or can feel coming through. The formula will help dry out any pimples with sulphur and salicylic acid.
Quick tip: Don’t shake the bottle, you don’t want to mix the pink treatment with the clear solution.
PROS OF THE ERADIKATE ACNE TREATMENT
When we use harsh products that are marketed towards acne, they can be over drying on your entire face. This can cause your skin to become dehydrated, which can lead to wrinkles, irritation and worst of all, overproducing oils.
By spot treating acne, you are not disturbing the rest of your skin. That’s why this spot treatment is perfect for blemish prone skin.
CONS OF THE ERADIKATE ACNE TREATMENT
The 30ml bottle retails for $36 whilst the Drying Lotion de Mario Badescu retails for $24.
The lotion by Mario Badescu doesn’t contain sulphur. However, it does contains other anti-acne ingredients.
Isopropyl Alcohol, Water/Aqua/Eau, Sulfur, Camphor, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Salicylic Acid, Iron Oxides, Zinc Oxide.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE ERADIKATE ACNE TREATMENT
Overall, I really enjoy this acne product for spot treating any nasty spots. As I mention in the video avoid using it for deep set acne pimples. This is a topical treatment that can only do so much. It is not effective on acne under the skin.
