This is a great recipe with no need for any sweeteners, like honey. Flavoured protein is often sweet enough.
This particular recipe can be super rich so depending on your particular protein, you may find it too sweet. If so, only add 200ml of milk and water it down with 200ml of water.
This smoothie is low in sugar and high in protein, super yummy and easy to make. I often have this as a quick on the go breakfast or as a post-workout smoothie and it keeps me full for so long!
PROTEIN SMOOTHIE RECIPE
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. A Blender (I use a Nutri Bullet.)
2. 400ML of Milk (I use soy milk)
3. 1 Banana
4. 1 Large Teaspoon of Peanut Butter (or almond butter for less fat)
5. 2 Scoops of your chosen Protein
First add your milk into your blender, followed by the rest of your ingredients.
Blend ingredients until smooth. If the consistency is too thick add more milk or water. Pour into your favourite cup and enjoy!
If you wanted to turn this smoothie into a protein smoothie bowl, you can use a frozen banana to create a thicker consistency.
