MELBOURNE CUP DAY FASHION | WHAT I WORE

Whilst the Melbourne Cup is all about taking risks, I couldn’t resist the sweet playfulness of this outfit.

This ensemble is a fun choice, perfect for spring. With ruffles down the skirt, it gives the dress the ability to twirl in an air of playfulness.

I paired the dress with a natural straw boater hat. It made this outfit perfect for spring and for protecting my pale skin from the harsh UV rays.MELBOURNE CUP DAY FASHION | WHAT I WORE

The makeup look I created included a strong brow and some lashes. However, I kept the makeup look minimal and let the outfit do the talking.

I learned my lesson last year when I refused to take off my heels and walk barefoot, but spent the rest of the week with blisters. It was my strappy sandals with a small heel to the rescue on cup day this year.
