If you know what to look for, the drugstore can be a goldmine of affordable quality drugstore makeup.
If you’re a girl boss and like to budget accordingly, just keep on reading to discover my favourite drugstore makeup items that won’t break the bank.
THE COVERGIRL 3 IN 1 FOUNDATION
The most important part of any makeup routine is the base and the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation is foundation goals. It retails for around $20 for a primer, concealer and foundation all in one.
It provides great coverage and if you’re time poor it will be your best friend.
THE MAYBELLINE MASTER CONCEAL
Retailing for around $19 I have the shade fair Claire to brighten my under eye area and it conceals dark circles like a charm.
AUSTRALIS FRESH & FLAWLESS
Another cult favourite, Australis fresh and flawless is everything you need in a pressed powder. It sets your makeup beautifully, with no under eye creasing.
It does add that little bit of coverage without being too cakey. It also comes with a mirror and sponge, making for the ideal little travel companion.
SAVVY CHEEK & LIP COLOUR
The Savvy cheek and lip colour are similar to the Bobbi Brown cheek and lip cream. It retails for $9 and is perfect for a touch of colour on those no makeup days.
This product is not highly pigmented so you will have to build it up. I find it applies best to your finger (to warm up the product on your skin).
REAL TECHNIQUES BEAUTY SPONGE
This isn’t a makeup product but I had to mention the value of this beauty sponge. It has a different consistency to the beauty blender but is just as good.
It’s perfectly shaped to get into the little corner of your face with the pointy end. However, it can also cover your entire face quickly with the flat edge.
